ABOUT US

Andrew Goodman is a founder and managing partner of The Wolcott Group. He leads all operations and oversees the asset and property management platforms that support the firm’s investment activities.

Prior to founding The Wolcott Group, Andrew worked at the intersection of real estate and finance at JDI Realty and Heitman Capital Management, specializing in underwriting high-yield commercial and industrial real estate loans. He is a graduate of Indiana University.

Ari Golson is a founder and managing partner of The Wolcott Group. He guides and oversees direction and strategy for the firm.  He is a leader in all facets of the firm’s investment process and investment management.  

Ari is a graduate of Lehigh University and earned his juris doctor from American University’s Washington College of Law. Prior to founding The Wolcott Group, he practiced law with a mid-size litigation firm in Chicago.

Tye Harris is Senior Managing Director for Investments.  Tye is responsible for overseeing underwriting and due diligence for new investment opportunities and oversees asset and investment management. He participates in financing and disposition activities for the portfolio.

Tye has deep experience across real estate asset classes and investment structures. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, cum laude from Yeshiva University in 2009.

Crystal Howlett is Senior Managing Director for Property Management. She joined The Wolcott Group in 2018 as the Director of Portfolio Management. She leads Wolcott’s property management company, which includes a staff of 25 employees who manage properties throughout the city of Chicago. 

Crystal has over 15 years of experience in real estate and property management. She graduated from Benedictine University, summa cum laude, with her MBA and a focus in accountancy.

Alyssa manages the day-to-day operations at the corporate office. She works with our commercial property management team as a tenant coordinator and continues to expand her roles and responsibilities. Prior to joining The Wolcott Group in 2017, Alyssa spent the previous four years in various executive assistant roles.

Alyssa received her Bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Kansas in 2013.

Sandra is part of the accounting staff at The Wolcott Group, where she has worked since 2018.  She has over 27 years of administrative and accounting experience, and the last 12 have been in the real estate sector. She prides herself on her attention to detail and the ability to focus on the tasks at hand.

Sandra has received a certificate in Business Accounting from the College of Office Technology.

Elizabeth Dorgan Spector is Managing Director for Asset Management and is responsible for overseeing the execution of business plans and evaluating investment performance.  She spent four years doing asset management and underwriting for Fidelity Capital Management and started her professional career at Byline Bank and was a Vice President in the Special Assets group, overseeing the valuation, workout, and disposition of more than 500 assets.  

Elizabeth received her Master’s in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University in 2013 and Bachelor’s in Mathematics at Quincy University in 2011.

Jeff Vdovets is the Senior Associate for Investments. Jeff is responsible for underwriting and due diligence for new investment opportunities, and assists with investment management activities throughout the portfolio.

Prior to joining The Wolcott Group, Jeff worked at CA Ventures, a Chicago-based developer focusing on student housing, multifamily, industrial, and senior housing across the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union. During his tenure at CA, Jeff was involved in developments, joint ventures, recapitalization and dispositions throughout CA’s portfolio. Jeff also has experience as a real estate Valuation Analyst. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Management with a major in Finance from Tulane University, A.B. Freeman School of Business.

Leslie Wasserman is a Senior Managing Director for Finance and Accounting for The Wolcott Group, where she has worked since 2006. She joined TWG in 2006. Ms. Leslie is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois. She oversees an accounting department that has a broad range of responsibilities, including loan servicing, investments, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and daily property management transactions. She develops and maintains procedures of the highest standards to maximize efficiency and strengthen internal controls on an ongoing basis.

Prior to joining The Wolcott Group, Leslie was a Senior Manager in the Chicago office of CBIZ, Inc. and Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. (formerly Philip Rootberg & Company, LLP), an accounting firm specializing in various aspects of the real estate industry. As a manager for more than ten years in the attestation and auditing department, she provided financial, tax, and business consulting services to partnerships, corporations, and individuals. 

Leslie received her Bachelor’s degree in accounting, summa cum laude, from DePaul University.

Michelle Weiner is the Real Estate Operations Associate at The Wolcott Group. In this role, she supports the real estate investment team with closing transactions, financing, investor communications, entity management, and providing real estate tax and legal support.

Before joining The Wolcott Group, Michelle spent ten years at JLL, managing the international property investment division. She holds an Executive MBA degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Jane Wernick is a Senior Accountant at The Wolcott Group and performs various corporate, property, and tax accounting functions. Throughout her career, Jane has worked in Public Accounting, Fortune 500 corporate accounting, and in a variety of other industries. 

She received her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois.
